The project is a 10 week intensive consulting piece, some Oracle discovery has started but not to the level needed, we need the Oracle expertise for 5 to 6 weeks
- Weeks 1 to 2: 5 days per week mainly onsite (Dublin city center office)
- Weeks 3 to 5: 3 to 4 days per week, reduced ad hoc visits and remote working
The Role:
An Oracle Consultant professional is needed to lead and advise the Customer for Logical Data protection approaches for their existing and future Oracle architecture, devise options based on the Customer's requirements and work with DELLEMC pre-sales to develop transformation ROM's and plans. They also need to understand Oracle best practices and trends.
Understand Oracle Architecture and concepts:
- RAC (Local or extended)
- Dataguard (Active or default)
- Exadata architecture
- Backup solution around RMAN
- Oracle Protection mechanism against some logical MIS function
- Flash back queries concepts
- Snapshots of Oracle Databases
Be able to challenge customer Architecture team on do they have applied the right protection schema in order to guaranty the best level of RPC/RTO.
Requirement
Provide consulting expertise to deliver an enterprise-wide strategy for Logical Data Protection focusing on the 6 Mission Critical Business Services. The focus of this work will be to review options in the area of Continuous Data Protection to supplement the current backup and recovery.
Customer has an existing Oracle estate and have invested heavily into Oracle Exadata for their future Core Business Systems.
