Fin Tech client of mine based in the heart of the city centre is looking to add a software engineer with extensive experience in Python, development and deployment.
On an initial 12 month rolling contract. The successful candidate will work closely with Development to design and implement containerised and tested python microservices applications.
Fast paced environment which will allow you to have a major say in how the team moves forward and what technologies should be implemented accordingly.
Key skill set that they are looking for as follows:
Extensive experience Python development.
Work Python frameworks such as Flask, Tornadoweb and sqlalchemy.
Passion for automation, testing, continuous delivery and choosing the best tool for the job.
Solid Linux and Scripting background.
Nice to haves:
Experience with AWS Redshift or Postgresql.
Experience with distributed system technologies, including RabbitMQ, ELK stack, Celery or similar.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GOCD
Experience of using Ansible (or similar configuration management tools).
Experience of building/retrofitting effective instrumentation (monitoring/metrics) for existing applications is
advantageous.
Prior experience in working in Financial Services/Insurance industry is a plus.
