Job Opportunity

A Federal Government Department in Canberra is seeking the services of Oracle Policy Automation (OPA) Designer/Developer.

Contract Period: ASAP to

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and support business systems through development, review and deployment of Java customisations for Oracle Policy Automation (OPA) solutions utilising OPA's velocity templates and CSS style sheets;
  • Write rules in OPA's Oracle Policy Modelling (OPM) development tool;
  • Produce technical solution documentation in detail;
  • Apply skills to integrate of OPA with Siebel (either via the Connector or Middleware) when required; and
  • Elicit requirements from business owners and translate these requirements into specifications.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills/experience:

  • Proven experience in developing Java customisations for Oracle Policy Automations (OPA) solutions, utilising OPA's velocity templates and CSS style sheets;
  • Experience writing rules in OPA's Oracle Policy Modelling (OPM) development tool;
  • Ability to document technical solutions in detail;
  • Demonstrable architectural or business designer experience would be an advantage;
  • Skills in the integration of OPA with Siebel (either via the Connector or Middleware) would be an advantage
  • Ability to elicit requirements from business owners and translate these requirements into specifications;
  • Demonstrable experience applying a wide variety of Software Development methodologies including waterfall, agile etc.
