Senior Python Developer Contract Dublin 6-18 Month contract.
My client a leading name in their respected industry is in urgent need of a talented and experienced Senior Python Developer to join their group on a long term rolling contract.
My client follows SAFe Agile management, Agile & Scrum delivery methodologies, with a focus on delivering value to their users. Test Driven Development (TDD) is the de-facto development methodology. As a Python Developer your main responsibilities will involve Working within a distributed Agile team, Liaising with Business Analysts and end users to go through the requirements & design, Contributing to functional & technical design. You will Write requirements with our users and business analysts, write automated tests & deliver software.
Successful candidates will have experience in Python programming; hands on experience with web technologies such as Angular, Javascript, CSS etc. You will have Experience of RESTful APIs and experience in successful application development in multiple technologies - my client value diversity of experience and prefer people who have worked on many different types of projects. Ideally you will have experience working on Investment Banking technology solutions ( if not this is not a deal breaker, but a good opportunity to get into this market) You will be experienced in using design patterns and following best software engineering practices. You will have Experience of Scrum/Agile methods and hands on experience in other Java/C#,C++ or other OO languages and knowledge of non-OO technology eg C/PROC, SQL would be useful. Knowledge or experience of Specification by Example/ATDD/BDD/Test Driven Development practices including continual integration is desirable.
