ETL Data Engineer Contract 6-12 months Galway.
My client a global leader in their respected space is in urgent need of a talented and experienced ETL Data Engineer to join them on a contract basis.
This is an exciting opportuntuy to join a BI team that is responsible for developing solutions for a major global firm. While the team uses a variety of technologies, we are seeking a database engineer with strong Oracle PL/SQL and UNIX Scripting skills, and who is also interested in learning new technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Sqoop, Spark, etc.)
The Expertise my client is Looking For, 5+ years' of commercial experience in a data-centric development environment. Strong Oracle PL/SQL and UNIX Scripting experience, Experience with ETL processing (Informatica preferred). My client wants an engineer who is passionate about their craft and has an interest and ability to learn and develop using emerging data technologies. My client new team is currently engaged on a multi-year strategy to design and deliver a range of new functionality for our business partners and FI clients. Your role is a key contributor to in all facets of the delivery process aligned to this strategy. You will have a hands on technical role of medium to large projects.
