Software Developer (Java) - Contract, Dublin City Centre

Software Developer Role and Responsibilities:

This role will see the successful candidate working alongside a team of highly skilled developers on delivering transformational product and service solutions on a global scale.

What's involved:

  • Define a Data Test Process with the Test Managers
  • Define and agree on a Defect Process that works for the piece of work
  • Liaising with counterparts internationally to feed back any detected data issues
  • Manually run/evidence test scripts
  • Participate in informal and formal reviews of the test and results
  • Take ownership of defects and work with the technical resolver teams to address and ensure retests
  • Ability to provide first level triage, and basic troubleshooting
  • Provide support for test and go live

What you need:

  • 5+years' experience in a similar role
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Java [J2EE, Groovy/Grails, Spring, Hibernate, VertX]
  • Web [Angular(JS), SASS]
  • Strong UI/Web development skills. Must have worked in at least one or more Web Frameworks
  • Expert knowledge of Application Servers/web passed applications
  • Has been pro-active in creating better user experience, consumer value proposition
  • Understands gaps in knowledge and has ability to source training online
  • Financial/Payments desirable
