OBIEE Developer
Whitehall Resources urgently require 2x OBIEE Developers for a 3-6 month extendable contract based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Overview:
This is a hands-on technical position requiring analytical and problem solving skills where you will serve as a subject matter expert in Business Intelligence (BI) Development (OBIEE specific). You will be required to understand business requirements, and independently architect, design and develop BI solutions.
Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assist team members with the creation, integration and migration of data into various systems
- Identify the key business questions to be answered in the visualizations or reports you build
- Build dashboards and reports using BI tools such as BI Publisher, Qlikview, Tableau, and SSRS
- Conduct data analysis to find and highlight critical insights for our clients
- Analyze, design, unit-test and system integration test your solution to meet the client's requirements
- Assist with all facets of test planning and execution, including bug/fix root cause analysis
- Prepare documentation characterizing the work you have completed and its business value
- Provide training on BI solutions to end users
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3-5 years of related work experience
- Experience as a BI Analyst
- 3-5 years of experience with BI tools like Oracle OBIEE, BI Publisher, QlikView, Tableau etc
- Strong skills in SQL query building and programming
- Exposure to Data model design and documentation (Facts and Dimensions, Business Users & Security Permissions, Stars with Hierarchies, Reports and Dashboard Layouts)
- Knowledge and experience working with multiple data models and sources, including dimensional models (Star and Snowflake schema types) and slowly changing dimensions (Types 1, 2 & 3)
- Interest in or experience with capital projects, cost engineering or construction management
- Willingness to travel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of basic construction processes, enterprise cost management platforms (such as Oracle Primavera Unifier, Primavera P6, Kildrummy, Oracle Primavera Contract Manager, Meridian Proliance, Prolog, Ecosys, or Ares Prism)
- Experience with large ERP and financial application integration projects
- SQL database job creation knowledge
- Performance tuning of SQL queries and reports
