Web API Developer/Integration Developer [ASP.Net MVC/ASP.Net C#/JavaScript/HTML]Project / Role:
Our client is the leading supplier of compliance software and professional consulting services to the global food industry. The company is seeking an exceptionally talented ASP.Net MVC 5 Software Developer with Web API 2 experience looking for an opportunity to grow and succeed on a global stage. You will work as part of a small and agile team of likeminded colleagues and you will be based in Dublin, Ireland.
Main Tasks:
* Being part of a development team building new products as well as enhancing existing solutions
* Working on full stack development from SQL, ORM (Nhibernate), ASP.Net MVC 5, C#, Web API, .Net & User Interface (XHTML/JS)
* Working on all aspects of the software development life-cycle including functional requirements, software design, implementation, deployment, bug fixes and customer support
* Working within a team where code quality and team code reviews is paramount
* Refactoring existing code base to improve its quality, extensibility, and maintainability
* Working within a fast paced environment to build solutions in line with business objectives
Requirements:
* 5 years' experience in software development role using ASP.Net MVC with daily coding hands-on experience
* High proficiency and experience in ASP.NET C# enterprise web development and MVC 5 framework
* Experience in designing large-scale Web APIs
* Experience with T-SQL, stored procedures, functions
* Solid working knowledge of SQL Server and Relational Database design as well as NoSQL data stores such as Azure Tables or DocumentDB
* Excellent working knowledge of client side technologies such as Sencha ExtJS or similar MVVM library, as well as JavaScript, HTML and CSS 3
* Experience with TDD
* Experience with Visual Studio ALM tools, and TFS or equivalent
* A broad understanding of all aspects of software development
* Experience with Agile development processes
* Knowledge of secure coding best practices
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment and under pressure
* Ability to comprehend complex business and technical scenarios
* High level of initiative
* High level of attention to detail
* Excellent problem solving skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Nice to Have(s):
* Knowledge and experience in other technologies such as NHibernate 4 (Fluent) ORM, Entity Framework ORM, Nunit, IoC, Castle Windsor, Json, Sharp#Architecture and Microsoft Azure
* MSc in Computer Science / Software Development
Education:
* BSc (Honours) in Computer Science / Software Development
