Scientist Senior with profound CFD and CAD packages knowledge wanted for our Basel based client in the pharmaceutical sector.Your experience/skills:
- University degree with working experience as a Chemical/process/mechanical engineer, chemist, physicist, material scientist or similar
- Practical knowledge with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations and computer-added design (CAD) programs
- Proficiency in OpenFOAM, mixing and particle simulations, stirred tank reactors, heat transfer calculations, multi-phase flow, crystallization, python as well as C++
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Developing detailed computer-based schematics of Lab, Pilot and Production scale equipment based on available drawings using CAD software
- Modelling manufacturing equipment and active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturing processes using CFD along with evaluating the effect of changing equipment parameters, such as geometry on the process
- Supporting the project teams in defining the optimal equipment and API process setups based on the output and learnings from CFD models as well as applying experimental data to refine the CFD models and making recommendations for experiments to be performed according to the outcome from the CFD models
- Managing the computational simulations on consultation with relevant stakeholders and internal experts
- Collaborating with experimentalists in the laboratory and production scale according to SOPs, Health, Safety and Environment policies and Guidelines of the company
