The Role
The new team member will be responsible for setting up and managing this simulation platform, developing database and tools for managing the results, and support the team with simulation campaigns.
The main responsibilities will be:
develop the simulation platform (cluster) in a flexible and modular approach;
build tools for efficient simulation automation and job scheduling;
build flexible tools for data handling, archiving, and visualisation;
assist implementation and testing of new modules;
contribute to the creative and innovative atmosphere
The Individual
experience in setting up and managing computation clusters;
knowledge on distributed computing, including job scheduling, job managing, CPU resource
management;
experience with building interfaces to and using relational database management systems,
like MySQL or similar;
familiarity with modern Object Oriented programming languages, in particular C/C++ and
Python; experience with Docker containers and Matlab is a plus;
knowledge about FEC, digital communications or optical communications is a plus;
