Embedded Software Engineer /Developer - Bare Metal, Python - Ghent area, Belgium
My Embedded Development client is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer/Developer to join their software applications team.
This will be a long term rolling three-month contract position.
Your main duties will be to assist with support requests on the client's software, (ie extensions of example applications upon customer request), as well as debugging of any reported issues.
Must-have skills:
- Experience in Embedded C (bare-metal). - You are an engineer who is familiar programming at low-levels typically on resource constrained MCU.
- Experience working with ARM Cortex-M4 platforms or similar is relevant.
- Python knowledge - You will have the ability to extend existing Python scripts and write simple Python scripts from scratch.
- Experience with using logic analyser, oscilloscope and multimeter for debugging
- Good communicator - You may have to discuss status or results with external customers.
- Experience with networking protocols, preferably wireless, and associated Sniffer tools.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience in Embedded Linux: Userspace applications in C and Kernel driver development
- Experience with BLE 4.2 or greater
- Experience with Zigbee RF4CE
