Software Developer/Programmer - I-Series (IBM System-I, AS400)
My client, based in Brussels and are one of the largest logistics companies in the world are looking for an experienced I-Series Software Developer/Programmer to join the business.
Description:
Youwill be integrated into the current development & support team, where you will develop and maintain in-house solutions - application development & maintenance role.
Your main duty will be to analyze issues within the I-Series applications and/or be part of project teams developing new solutions.

- good knowledge of English (verbal & written) is essential
- local (central Belgium) residence is strongly preferred
Technical skills:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in software analysis & development on I-Series
- Programming languages: thorough knowledge of SQL and RPG ILE (free) including Embedded SQL
- knowledge of IBM Rational Developer and IBM Data Studio
- knowledge of XML
- knowledge of communication methods on I-Series - MQ Series, FTP, DDM, IFS
- familiar with PC windows MS Office
- knowledge representing an asset:
- RPG400 or older
- familiarity with a software change management system, preferably ALDON Lm (i)
- Webservices/SOAP
- IBM API's
