Embedded Software Engineer /Developer - Bare Metal, Python - Utrecht area, The Netherlands
My Embedded Development client is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer/Developer to join their internal development team.
This will be a long term rolling three-month contract position.
Your main duties will be to assist with development and internal testing of new products or extend our BLE and IEEE15.4 based stack portfolio.
Must-have skills:
- Experience in Embedded C (bare-metal). You are an engineer who is familiar programming at low-levels (ie where the SW and HW meet), typically on resource constrained microcontrollers. Any experience working with Cortex-M4 platforms or similar is relevant.
- Python knowledge. Having the ability to extend existing Python scripts and write simple Python scripts from scratch.
- Good communicator - You will work in a distributed development team.
- In depth experience with a least one of the following wireless network stacks: BLE 4.2 or greater; Zigbee
- Experience with networking protocols, preferably wireless, and associated Sniffer tools.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with using logic analyzer, oscilloscope and multimeter for debugging
- Experience in Embedded Linux: userspace applications in C and Kernel driver development
- Experience with RF4CE
