Our client a global banking organisation is looking for an API Systems Engineer to come in for an initial 6 months basis based in Zurich.The System Engineer will be responsible for API Management, supporting the architecture and roadmap of the organisations API platform and works together with the delivery teams as part of the project lifecycle.
The candidate will be responsible for creation and implementation of technical concepts for API lifecycle. Evaluation and implementation of an API Management platform. Automation of testing and release management process in the context of API Management. Close collaboration and knowledge sharing with the architecture team. Partnering with a range of stakeholders to ensure the API platform architecture and roadmaps are defined, Maintained, embedded and used. Keep up to date on API technology and best practices.
The candidate must have professional training or degree in computer science/engineering (or equivalent). Track record in designing and developing web services/API.
Proven knowledge of web technologies (e.g. JavaScript, SOAP/REST, Swagger/RAML, XML) and web security.
Good understanding of modern API technologies.
Solid know-how about Identity Access Management/Authentication/Authorization concepts.
Hands-on experience with GitLab and Jenkins
