We are looking for a results-oriented, self-learning Data/Reporting Analyst to join our Reporting and Analytics team. Our mission is to understand our customers so that we can provide the most actionable reporting and dashboards to our Leadership teams. We expect you to have experience using a variety of tools and techniques, have familiarity with digital marketing practices, web analytics, and sales analytics. You should possess excellent communication skills, and be able to design insightful reports and dashboards.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy adhoc or automated reporting that help our leaders make tactical and strategic decisions.
- Work with Engineering teams and end users to validate the quality of the insights and the underlying data sets.
- Work with Engineering and Product teams to create the data pipelines to ensure the appropriate metrics and dimensions are incorporated into our data sets, reporting, and dashboards.
- Should have solid understanding of Business Objects and be able to develop and maintain ETL processes/jobs using Oracle PL/SQL, or similar ETL tools.
Qualifications
- Degree in a quantitative discipline (Engineering, Computer Science, or MCA).
- 6-8 years of overall work experience with at least 5 years in experience in DW/BI development or reporting/analytics role.
- Must have very strong SQL skills with Oracle. Teradata a plus.
- Exposure to BO 4.1x and more, 4.2x preferred.
- Should be proficient in Universe Design and report writing, be able to understand and modify complex universe queries, design and use the functionalities of the tool. Experience in BO administration a big plus.
- Proficient in understanding business requirements and design BO universe and reports.
- Understanding of database architecture, query optimization, advanced analytics features, with experience in writing PL/SQL and stored procedures.
- Understanding of Dimensional data model and design high performing data models for various reporting needs
- Ability to work with various operating systems, including Windows and Unix. Exposure to Shell Scripting is a plus.
- Understanding of the Agile Software Development Life Cycle as it pertains to Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence.
- Experience in other reporting tool as QlikView, or Tableau is desirable but not mandatory.
- Experience working collaboratively with business and technical team members, while possessing outstanding written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong attention to detail with ability to multi-task on several projects and overcome challenges.
- Familiarity with the identification and resolution of data quality issues.
- An ability to independently research and solve complex technical problems, and think creatively.
- Willingness to learn new techniques.
- Great team player with a passion to collaborate and harness synergies with colleagues
