Go developer/Golang developer/Front End developer to learn Go programming language
Capgemini Financial Services is urgently seeking a Front End developer - ideally with experience of Go/Golang - to work on a geo location monitoring system.
The original version of the application is written mostly in Ruby, with the new code base in Go. Your role will involve assessing the code and its fitness for purpose, guiding the new version into test, doing any required development work, and working with the deployment team to get the new version live.
Prior experience with Go/Golang is preferred, but we can also consider strong Front End developers with the following skills/experience:
- Familiarity with source code repositories GIT, Bit Bucket etc.
- Ability to work with/configure specific repositories from within the IDE
- Ability to take GO source and get it to run in a AWS/Docker test environment
- Familiar with RUBY
- Good problem solving skills - be able to quickly work through problems as and when they occur
- Ability to communicate effectively with the business and quickly understand the business needs and to be able to fix problems with code to fix bugs
