Title: Data Conversion Specialist
Location: Boston, MA
Duration: 6 months Contract
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of design, development and testing of all data transformation, extraction and migration activities.
- Creation of technical specifications, including mapping document between source and target tables/files and fields
- Team- Must work successfully in a team environment
- Troubleshooting- Must be able to analyze and define problems, collect facts and data, and establish resolution paths.
- Development of metrics, reports, etc. that aid the validation of each data conversion
- Working with the Project Manager and Technical Lead to ensure that all migration/conversion issues are resolved on time.
- Work with data owners to verify and obtain approval that any transformed data retains its accuracy.
- Execute one off data migration jobs as required.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in Java
- Experience with git, JIRA, bamboo
- Strong working knowledge of Oracle databases and utilities.
- Strong analysis skills
- Familiarity of other database types including flat files.
