About the role:

  • Test Automation and setting up frameworks on multiple application types and platforms: Web, Mobile, Desktop, Services
  • Coding automated test scripts, in accordance with industry-standard best-practice
  • Contributing to the planning, design, and implementation of test automation frameworks using best-practice techniques and principles
  • Business facing/working closely with the project team

About you (ideally)

  • Extensive experience of BDD and TDD Methodologies
  • Strong Agile testing skills
  • Degree qualified or equivalent
  • Experience of creating test scenarios and acceptance tests against user stories
  • Excellent communication and team-working skills

Technical Skills (ideally)

  • Strong technical skills with Open Source languages such as Java, JavaScript or C#/.NET
  • Solid API testing skills (REST, WebAPI)
  • Extensive experience with Specflow/Cucumber/Gherkin tools for Behaviour Driven Development (BDD)
  • Solid experience of implementing Automation Testing in various environments
  • Experience of NUnit test development
  • Understanding of Object-Oriented (OO) Design
  • Familiar with the Windows technology stack (IIS, SQL Server, AD)
  • Experience with distributed source control (Git/Stash)
  • Experience using JSON/XML objects
  • Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL)

Desirable

  • MVC pattern
  • Continuous Integration (Team City or Jenkins)
  • PowerShell Scripting

We are looking for hungry-to-learn out of the box thinkers to join our team. Your intensive training will start immediately, focusing on learning key technologies and products and the consulting skills that are critical to success in the high-growth automation sector. The majority of our engagements are 2- 8 weeks in length with each one providing opportunities to learn client technologies and approaches whilst requiring continual learning of new technologies. Our team unanimously agree that they really benefit from continually learning new technologies as part of this role and that they've learned more in a shorter period of time than previously, gaining more experience with different clients and cultures.
