Senior Java8/Spring Developer
Rates - £/day depending on experience
Location - Central London - Zone 1
An international equity investment and asset management house with a 40-year track record of helping businesses grow and succeed. They're known for using technology to create maximum investment values to their clients which include many large financial services and FTSE 250 companies.
They are looking for an experienced Java8 developer with strong experience and knowledge of the Spring ecosystem. You'd work on a brand new, long term major development program for one of their healthcare partners. There's no Legacy code or old platform to migrate from, however the challenge will be delivering 100% of the agreed functionality. They've moved development in-house to get things delivered to a high standard. You would work within a small, senior contract based team on the greenfield design and development of a containerised web based application with large volumes of traffic and data for businessess in their portfolio. You'll need experience with Java8, the Spring ecosystem including Spring Boot. You'll work with Docker, REST, Maven, Git, automating often, producing high quality code through Unit and integration testing. The team have some flexibility in their working day, some prefer to start early/late - so they can be accommodating, although there is no option for remote working at this point.
Their interview process would be an initial phone call, around 25-30 minutes followed by a 1.5-2 hour onsite interview which would be more technical.
