Description: Client is interested in pricing a Personas (SAP) consultant that can assist us with streamlining our processes used by our field service technicians that service technical equipment in our stores (computers, point of sale, printers, routers, etc.). These technicians all use the standard transactions listed below through a Publix issued laptop connected wirelessly to our store network. The key deliverables for this engagement would be
1. Meet with our business users (the management and trainers for the field service technicians) with minimal IS oversight to assess what processes can be streamlined using Personas
2. Work through iterative wireframe design to finalize the end user experience
3. Develop Personas transactions to replace the existing standard transactions for the field service technicians with the primary focus being on a. Reduced keystrokes to complete work b. Reduced errors by defaulting fields when appropriate and removing fields that are not needed that could create issues if entered c. Tie together critical processes like not allowing a Goods Issue without the corresponding Goods Receipt
4. Test with business to validate the solution meets the requirements and is scalable
5. Fully document the solution and transition knowledge to IS team 6. Work with IS to implement the solution and provide some basic support post go-live for any critical issues What we would be looking for from the resource.
Key Skills:
1. Excellent communicator - this business area can be difficult to work with and strong requirements gathering skills would be needed
2. Strong logistics knowledge - the resource should be very familiar with the above transactions and understand how to tie them together to build a streamlined flow
3. Strong Personas knowledge - the expectation is that the resource has a strong background in Personas/Java Scripting and will be able to use these tools to their full potential
4. Self driven - due to competing priorities, the resource will be working independently for the most part from the other IS resources. He will have management oversight but the existing Logistics support team will have limited availability for consultation and support
5. Excellent documentation skills - the resource will need to fully document the solution before transitioning off the project
