Description
We are urgently looking for one "WebDesigner" to start in September a contract in ROME (UN agency client, EN-speaking environment). Our client is a world-famous international Organisation and a great reference in any CV! The initial contract is about 50 w/days contract, extensions are possible, this task is expected to last until March 2019 and other tasks are in the pipeline.
Background:
Our client decided to make certain external facing applications, such as their corporate website, and those integrated with such applications, available in addition to English: in Spanish, French and Arabic.We are looking for a consultant with demonstrable experience of designing for multilingual applications or sites where Arabic was a mandatory language.
TASKS
- Analyse possible Front End design and usability requirements for all of the official languages.
- Upgrade the designs to be compatible with all the official languages and to be coherent with each other.
- Ensure designs are consistent with the client guidelines, based on Bootstrap and compatible with Liferay.
- Provide HTML and CSS versions of the updated designs
- Work cooperatively with team members, key stakeholders, and vendors.
- Contribute to documentation of the site design.
- Any other web design duties as required.
SKILLS
- A university degree in, Web Design, Visual Communication, or related fields is desired.
- At least 5 years of relevant web design experience.
- Demonstrable experience of designing for multilingual applications or sites where Arabic was a mandatory language.
- Previous experience in international organizations highly desirable.
- Knowledge of the client official languages highly desirable.
- Adobe Photoshop/Creative Suite skills
- Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Languages
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.
