Website Developer- Remote working- 18-month Contract

Our client is looking for a Website Developer for an 18-month contract offering £400 per day. The role is remote based, ie you can work from home, with the occasional trip to client site during the contract. (this is Wiltshire based)

You will work on:

  • Translating user requirements into designs.
  • Undertaking minor developments.
  • Issue resolution.
  • Managing Git repositories and Jenkins.
  • Advising on cost and viability of change requests.
  • Managing and maintaining server environments.
  • Monitoring and reporting of performance.
  • Produce and maintain build and DR documentation.
  • Support developers setting up and running development environments.

Essential skills and experience

  • The Mura Content Management System (version 6.2 onwards)
  • The use of ColdFusion and Lucee.
  • Elasticsearch, including management, configuration and development
  • The use of Jenkins (or equivalent tools for Continuous Integration)
  • Web design technologies (eg CSS, HTML5, and JavaScript) and the use of JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as jQuery, jQuery UI, Bootstrap, Angular and Grunt
  • Good development, deployment and support practices including testing and version control, and working with source control repositories especially Git, GitHub and Git submodules
  • API provision and consumption using REST, SOAP and OAuth
  • Microsoft SQL Server (or equivalent) development and Couchbase as a high-performance caching engine
  • Enterprise System Architecture and Windows Server management
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills and interpersonal communication at all levels
  • Demonstrate how you will apply your skills and expertise in Amazon Web Services (or equivalent Cloud based services) including Compute Storage and networking components
