Description

We are now looking for an experienced Cyber Security Researcher to join our research organization in Helsinki, Finland. Our team in Finland focuses on future research and innovation in the areas of cloud security and big data. We are committed to building secure devices and services. Equally, our customers value their privacy, and expect their online content to be secured by us. As a cybersecurity researcher, you would build and prototype next-generation security solutions to manage and automate the security behind these services. Your role will be tailored to meet your existing skills and experience.

Main areas of focus:

Research next-generation cloud security solutions, eg AI-driven anomaly detection.

Producing bold and creative ideas and to identify security research focus areas.

Liaison with academic and private sector partners.

Desired skills and background:

Masters or PhD in computer science, engineering, information security, or equivalent experience.

Understanding of the security landscape and advantages unique to security and privacy in large scale, distributed consumer cloud services.

Solid understanding of existing cyber security threats & mitigation/remediation strategies, especially in the area of web application security threats and weaknesses (eg OWASP Top-10).

Hands-on skills in using security assessment tools and knowledge of pen testing methods.

Solid understanding and practical experience of host-based security solutions in a Linux-based environment (eg HIDS, RASP, anti-malware), network security solutions and protection technologies (eg anti-DDOS). Experience on these solutions with machine learning, behavior analytics will be a big bonus.

Experience with various cloud environments and technologies.

Solid understanding of how IP Networks and network protocols work.

Software engineering experience and skills (eg Java, Python).
