Currently one of our international clients in Amsterdam is looking to expand their Data Science team. They are looking for a creative person with a technical background. As a Data Scientist you can be part of a growing team which will build state of the art modern statistics capabilities, which are important for potentially growing availability of (alternative) data and computational power.
This is an ideal role for Data Scientists who are passionate about modern statistics and are comfortable working in a demanding, fast-pace and dynamic environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop investment tools by way of Scripting back- and Front End
- Initiate, coordinate and execute research project, independently or as part of a team
- Feature engineering and data exploration from various data sources, as to generate new ideas
Profile requirements
- A Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field
- Excellent programming skills in one or more of the following Python/R/MATLAB/C++. Able to write clear, clean and testable code
- Able to handle large sets of structured and unstructured data sources. Comfortable with data wrangling and manipulation
- Strong interest and affinity with financial markets and asset management
- Familiarity with different data-base tools such as SQL, MongoDB, solR.
- Familiarity with tools such as Shiny, Qlik, JS and D3
- Familiar with Git or similar
