Mainframe Architect - Norway - Montreal Associates
Montreal Associates is looking for a Mainframe Architect for a client based in Norway.
Location: Oslo, Norway
Start Date: ASAP
Duration/length: 6 months (possible extensions)

Responsibilities:
- Build High level Architecture and Detailed Architecture diagrams in the application
- Build Conceptual and Solution design documents which would represent application architecture integration of in-house sourcing applications and reporting systems along with downstream process.
- Design complex integration architectural solutions from sourcing Datalake systems (Mainframe/Core)
- Perform complete solution impact assessment for the project
- Closely work with Enterprise Architects and ensure the solutions built are in alignment with enterprise architectural standards
- Build performance efficient designs which involve multiple interfaces and responsible for design decisions in line with best practices
- Ability to think out of box and present multiple solution options for the problems and choose the best one with ability to explain the same to all stakeholders
- Closely work with developers and business analysts and provide architectural direction on key business and technical constraints and come up with alternate solutions which fits technical performance and business needs
- Ability to implement framework that includes standards, policies, best practices and overall governance
- Understanding of Non-functional Requirements such as performance, reliability, scalability and ensure adherence
- Certification in TOGAF or AWS is an advantage, but not mandatory
- Good domain understanding of Large Corporate industries in Banking industry
Required skills/experience:
- Should have strong IBM Mainframe development experience for minimum 8+ years with Cobol, CICS, JCL
- Experience in Banking Domain for minimum 4+ years
- Experience in providing High level/Low level design to technical team
- Good understanding of DB2 table design, Optimization, Performance measurement and tuning techniques
- Fair understanding of integration techniques with Front End systems
- Ability to mentor team on technical skills if needed
- Experience of building integrations with tools such as IBM Integration Bus(IIB), IBM z/OS Connect EE, Helios etc.
