This exciting opportunity has arisen with a global leading financial organisation in Dublin, Ireland. A requirement for a Software Developer to work part of an exciting global team has arisen, this person will have exposure with a range of technologies and will have the ability to mould into this position with their current skills they can bring. The client are happy to consider a developer from any background, whether that be Java, JavaScript, C#, C++, .NET, Python or Ruby. Having a solid fundamental background in development in any language and the ability to grow and learn is key for this role in an automation environment.
Key Responsibilities
- A strong developer with a varied skill set to work with other development teams to find out what is stopping them reach the automations goals and how to achieve those goals, what tools are available and how to use those tools.
- The ability to work with global teams, including America, India and wider Europe.
- A strong background of developing applications and an understanding of automation is key,
- A mix of development/automation - we won't expect this person to be an expert within the automation space but someone who has had exposure to various programming languages due to the varied work involved
- The ability to work with Agile teams as some work involved will be to develop particular code and going out to help a specific team on their development.
- A developer who has demonstrated experience with any programming languages from Java, C#, JavaScript, Linux Shell Scripting, Python, Ruby, Go, Scala. - not a need for any particular one
- Exposure to some CI/CD and infrastructure automation tooling such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Jenkins, Artifactory, Bitbucket or the desire to learn these tools
- Strong applications development background
- Some exposure to automation process would be helpful but not essential
- The ability to work in an Agile environment
