Description
As a Cloud Engineer for the Integration Service Center (ISC) you will be a part of an Application Integration team located in Älmhult & Helsingborg, you will work directly at a client site, building high performance systems using the latest frameworks, Java-based platforms running in a shared micro services environment.
As an AWS Engineer you will run production systems on AWS, help to increase automation, ensure systems are reliable and scalable and promote a DevOps culture. You'll take an engineering approach to infrastructure and operations, solving business problems with software and automation; take ownership of the hosted infrastructure ensuring that it meets the needs of the product with a particular focus on data security and resilience and build, maintain and help shape the core Java libraries that power the product.
Essential Functions:
- A passionate technologist, an advocate of cloud based infrastructure (AWS) and Infrastructure as Code
- Collaborate with Business teams, IT teams (application development teams, infrastructure teams, etc.), throughout the life cycle of applications and services (inception and design, development, deployment, operations and refinement)
- Design, build, and optimize applications' containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes
- Leverage open technology such as Docker, Kubernetes, Bash, Javascript, Python, Git, Jenkins, Linux, AWS Cloud, Java, and MongoDB
- Automate applications and infrastructure deployments on private and public cloud (Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes)
- Assist in the design and building of a fully automated self-service platform that could work in a AWS environment
- Strong knowledge of AWS including Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, S3, DynamoDB, KMS
- Creation CloudFront master templates that call nested templates.
- Extensive knowledge around AWS including Cloudformation, EC2, Autoscaling, ElastiCache (Memcached, Redis)
- Produce automation scripts to integrate between services and increase efficiency
- Familiarity with configuration management (Puppet, Ansible, Chef etc)
- Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins or equivalent)
- Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana (ELK Stack)
- Familiarity with one of Scripting Languages: Ruby, Perl, Nodejs, Python
- Extensive experience supporting services running on Linux
- Has worked on CI/CD solutions
- Delivers technical visualisation of proposed applications
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving ability
- Implementing tools for processes, applications and technologies which meet business need
