I am recruiting for a Front End Web Application Developer for the implementation and support for on-going and new projects related to web and mobile applications. This is a 6-month initial contract role with long term extension potential. It is located in southern Italy in the peaceful town of Brindisi. This is an English-speaking role in a multinational team Italian, Spanish or French language skills will be a bonus!

Development activity:
  • Implement application user navigation wireframes.
  • Collaborate to the design and layout of applications.
  • Implement and maintain user interface application code base using HTML5, JavaScript, CSS.
  • Use the latest web design techniques and frameworks such as Sencha ExtJS, ReactJS.
  • Collaborate on the Back End and functional implementation of applications, being proficient in developing and consuming RESTful services, JSON and XML serialization using one of the following technologies: Java, .Net, Python/Django.
  • Prepare the necessary project related technical documentation.
  • Apply industry standards and best practices in writing and performing codes, testing and comply with security standards and policies for the produced artefacts.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
You will have:
  • Experience in the implementation of web desktop applications and of mobile and responsive applications (web applications design).
  • Experience in working with Sencha ExtJS framework and with ReactJS libraries and framework.
  • Experience in developing and consuming RESTful services using one of the following technologies: Java, .Net, Python/Django.
  • Must have a working knowledge of applications development and technical architecture.
  • Agile or SCRUM Project participation experience.
  • Good all round knowledge of software development and testing, architecture, applications, databases, integration, infrastructure and networks.
  • Experience in Jira, and GIT version control would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • English language skills and the ability to live and work from southern Italy.
To work in Italy you will need to be an EU citizen and work via your worn company (with A1 form) or as an Italian freelancer with Partita IVA.
