Senior Java Developer
For the one of the leading banks in the Netherlands I'm looking for a senior Java developer. In this function you develop solutions for the decommissioning of the Mainframe, and you guide other squads in implementing these solutions. You like working together in a multidisciplinary team and at the same time you also find it important that you can use your own expertise. Customer perspective is your primary drive to work in a squad.
This is what you are going to do
A large part of your work consists of developing solutions for Mainframe applications. In more detail, this means working on a wide range of solutions, routing terminal traffic to new resources, designing and realizing a platform to simplify the transition of Mainframe applications, and realizing new functionality for Mainframe functionality. to replace.
Your work environment
At the bank we have the ambition to set the Mainframe for 2020. In the current situation within the bank, the Mainframe still plays a central role in architecture. Besides a lot of essential data, it contains a wide range of functionalities, for which short-term solutions need to be realized. The challenge here is that other squads must be able to take over the solutions with relatively little effort. It therefore requires a lot of creativity and knowledge to quickly find and realize effective and efficient solutions. We think we have taken an approach to this and are now looking for colleagues with the right technical knowledge to deepen and implement this approach.
