Description

For this job you will be responsible to support, maintain and implement applications. You will coordinate application deployments from different environments up to and including production, and make sure that the system remains in a healthy condition. In addition, you will focus on ensuring the quality of the work you are doing.

You will be responsible for the daily support of the Global Client Data Management System (GCDS) together with your colleagues, implementing LifeCycle Management and reducing operational risks.

You will also participate in gathering operational requirements and monitor them for realization.

We are looking for a proactive person who always looks for opportunities to improve and realizes improvements. The GCDS team has adopted SCRUM and DevOps way of working. The technical environment is a Linux, WebSphere environment.

The application is based on the IBM Master Data Management (MDM) suite. Automating deployments (XLRelease, XLDeploy, Jenkins and GIT) and ensuring good monitoring (Splunk) for the environments is a priority. The system consists of several technical components and is both batch as services oriented.

Your focus will be, together with a Java developer, on improving the stability and predictability of the GCDS system, for example by adding extra logging and monitoring.
To operate successfully in this position, we expect you to:

  • have successfully graduated from a university or college;
  • have 1-5 years of experience as a Functional and/or Technical application manager, preferably in a large (financial) institution
  • can communicate well in English (both verbal and in writing)
  • extensive experience with Linux, Oracle, Java, WebSphere environments
  • have experience with ITIL/ASL
  • have experience with the Agile/Lean development method
  • Have experience with (tools like) XL Deploy, Jenkins and Splunk
  • Have experience and willing to cooperate within a DevOps environment
  • experience with Continuous Delivery (pre)
  • experience with IBM Infosphere Master Data Management (pre)
  • The candidate for this position must participate in stand-by services (on-site or remote support outside office hours) and must be willing to work occasionally during the weekend, for example for releases.
