We have an opportunity to work in Amsterdam at a terrific company. Here is a little taste of what we are looking for
- At least 5+ of experience and knowledge of CATV technologies, STB and DTV Middleware platforms and Video Delivery technologies
- An understanding of Entertainment B2C services:
1. Commercial & content
2. Product development process - Deep understanding of entertainment technology & ecosystem, from CPE hardware and software to service platforms, user interfaces, apps and media acquisition/management, processing, and distribution, and end-to-end content protection and security
- wide understanding of IP and broadcast networking as well as data centre infrastructure.
- Strong overall understanding of the technologies and platforms specific to a large cable and telecommunications operator.
- Strong technical knowledge and integration experience around CPE hardware and software, Video encoding/transcoding, CAS, DRM, Video back-ends, workflows, CMS, security services, Search & Recommendations, Application Services, CDN, Ad Insertion, broadband data, home networking, TV, VoD, PVR, Access technology, and Internet technology related.
- Good overall knowledge/familiarity with telecommunications technologies, including: Ethernet, IP, broadcast, transmission as well as most current IP communication protocols.
- Good knowledge/familiarity with Audio and Video coding/decoding technologies
- Knowledge of and/or certification in at least one enterprise architecture methodology (TAM, eTOM, SID, TOGAF, SOA, Web 2.0., etc.)
Here is a example of your daily tasks
- Define, design and document IT business solutions, delivering Business Solution Architecture (BSA) document, corresponding UML artefacts (ie Activity Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, Use Cases) and Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) in support of documenting the program/project scoped IT business solution.
- Ensure that the solution architecture is compliant and aligned to the published Enterprise Architecture blueprints and product, technology and infrastructure roadmaps. Direct a design change control to ensure that all changes are considered in relation to the end-to-end design baseline. Ensure that the solution is aligned to defined scope but also positioned for future requirements.
- Review and approve design artefacts for the IT business solution (ie Functional Designs, Technical Designs, Interface Specifications, Data Mappings etc.), liaising with cross functional teams to achieve high quality designs.
- Co-operate with the Enterprise Architects on definition of the E2E architecture to assure the integrity, robustness and efficiency of the future E2E solutions. Identify opportunities to increase reusability and maximise cost synergies.
This is a contract position with a daily salary of €550-€600
