DevOPS Engineer C, C++ & Java
Our client, a well established global financial institution is urgently looking for a experienced DevOPS Engineer to join them on an initial 3 month contract with likely extensions based in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands.
Essential Skills Required:
* Current knowledge of C, C ++ and Java. Knowledge of Mainframe is an advantage.
* Experience with Continuous delivery, such as the deployment pipeline/Gitlab.
* Extensive experience with and knowledge of Windows server 2012
* Experience with Citrix
* Understanding how your application fits into the entire chain of which it is part.
* Experience with working in an Agile organization.
* You also recognize yourself in the following profile:
* HBO/WO work and thinking level, with an IT background.
* Certification and/or proven proficiency in one or more high level programming languages.
Job Description:
You work together with colleagues from other areas of expertise and take initiative in the broadening of knowledge (inside and outside your expertise) that is relevant within the Tribe in which you work.
You pick up tasks/activities where possible that contribute to the mission, even if they do not fall entirely within your area of expertise.
You have an up-to-date view of your IT expertise.
Deploying and running of Production system, you provide Level 2 support for your applications on a Windows platform
You contribute to the development of your squad by actively giving and receiving feedback.
As experienced Ops Engineer coach you have less experienced colleagues
You are responsible for your development of your own professional knowledge and you apply it.
You know where you can get that knowledge and actively help your IT Chapter Lead with your (personal) development.
You are responsible for correctly filling the CMDB and keeping the OCD in control.
You work according to the Scrum methodology and Continuous Delivery Engineering in a Windows environment.
Together with your colleagues you manage the C, C ++ and Java environment, with a Front End for Mainframe applications.
If necessary, you take on IT development tasks (C, C ++, Java).
As DevOps Engineer you contribute to realizing the purpose of the squad.
You do this by working end-to-end Agile on the user stories from the Backlog.
The DevOps Engineer is responsible for the stability of its own application, identifies application and system related problems and takes the lead in resolving an incident. Your tasks consist of adjusting the application (C, C ++, Java), testing, managing, monitoring and making available and keeping the application. You proactively monitor technical behavior and performance through all aspects of the entire stack to prevent problems. This means that you can contribute to the realization of all activities in the backlog.
