Workday Integration Developer

Dublin City Centre

Up to €700 per day

The Integration developer will design, develop, test and implement batch and web service interfaces to and from the HR system (Workday) and other applications, eg Payroll and Time and Attendance. In addition, the developer will hand over the interfaces to the optimisation team for on-going support. The integration developer will work with business analysts, process specialists and 3rd parties to ensure that the interfaces meet business needs.

The role requires strong development and testing skills and systems background and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Programming skills required include:

  • Experience developing integrations to and from Workday using an Eclipse based development environment.
  • Experience in the use of XML/XSLT, JSON, PHP
  • Scripting

Responsibilities will include:

  • Set up automated interfaces and familiar with file transfer mechanisms including SFTP.
  • Define and implement procedures for integrations
  • Define and create test data and execute all stages of testing.
  • Experience at 3rd level support of interfaces
  • Develop a strong understanding of our existing application, data and technology landscape and architecture
  • Work with an internal and external teams to help shape solutions that meet business needs
  • Translate requirements into designs and working integrations
  • Estimate work required and adhere to time and quality requirements
  • Use the knowledge gained in design and implementation of the solutions to become one of the subject matter experts for aspects of the new landscape.
