Description

Mentmore are currently recruiting for an Object Oriented Analyst/Developer for our client, a leading Insurance company who are undertaking a large scale programme. They are looking to bring on board an experienced Object Oriented Analyst/Developer with Object Oriented Programming and 3-tier applications experiences.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Play an active part in the whole development life cycle of new applications (analysis, development and testing).

  • Your focus will be on the analysis and development of both the existing applications as well as new applications.

  • Improve existing systems, development of new applications

  • You will support the end-user

  • Powerbuilder together with EAServer/Jaguar

  • Development of Internet-facing applications and 3-tier applications

  • Object Oriented Design patterns

  • Ensure quality control of application development and database infrastructure

  • Ensure a responsive and high quality service providing IT assistance and IT solutions to all departments within the organisation.

  • Implement and safeguard system and data security throughout the development cycle

  • Represent the IT Department in development activities

Required skills:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a similar position

  • Experience in all aspects of the development life cycle (analysis, Implementation, testing)

  • Good experience in object-oriented programming and design patterns

  • Must have experience with the development of Internet-facing applications and 3-tier applications.

  • Good knowledge of SQL

  • Excellent experience in Powerbuilder together with EAServer/Jaguar

  • A strong interest in development and technology
