Data Engineer - Data Lakes
Location: Gentofte, Denmark
Rate: £500 per day (Paid in local currency)
Duration: 3 months + Possible Extension
Start: ASAP
For a client in the Energy Industry, we are looking for a Data Engineer.
The Data Engineer will work on pre-defined tasks to build a data lake. The Data Engineer will work with a team creating a data platform for the data scientists.
The Data Engineer must have specific experience with building/designing data lakes - enabling data access for both data scientists and business analysts.
The Data Engineer must also have extensive experience building data pipelines - extracting information from source systems, consolidating, cleansing and structuring data for use by data scientists
Technial skills required:
*NiFi
*Databricks
*Spark
*Azure
*Ability to code in Python is a must
*Must have exceptionally strong skills in open source technologies and previous experience with big data universe
Preferably experience in:
*Apache
*Hadoop
*Hive
*Kafka
*Proficiency in C# or Java is recommended
*SAP experience is an advantage since SAP can potentially be a source for many data points
