Scala Developer
One of my market leading clients in Amsterdam is urgently seeking a Scala Developer for a long-term contract paying excellent rates. If you like it, you will never have to leave.

The Scala Developer will IDEALLY HAVE AT LEAST 65% of the following skills:
- At least 5+ years of experience in development within a Java Web/Enterprise environment.
- Experience in working in agile environments: Scrum, Kanban, Value Streams
- Hands on experience with programming language with Java 8+, Scala, python, Shell
- Loves to work both on a green and Legacy code bases.
- Frameworks such as Spring ecosystem (Spring boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data), JPA/Hibernate etc, are common practice for you. Knowing dropwizard framework is a plus
- Experience with Sql and NoSql databases technologies (MySQL, SQL, Hive, SParkSQL, DynamoDB, Redis).
- Experience with Linux.
- Knows how to work with technologies/architectures:
- Micro services REST; CI/CD (Jenkins), automated testing (unit, integration, load).
- Docker, marathon, mesos, elasticsearch, kibana, Elastic Beanstalk, Elastic Load Balancer.
- DevOps experiences on AWS, skill writing infrastructure as code.
- Cloud formation, terraform, Ansible. If you know serverless and SAM it is a plus.
- Data Engineering experience knowing techniques and hands on skill on Bigdata Technologies like Spark, Storm, Airflow, and Kinesis.
- Familiar with API and Identity management platforms like Apigee, iWelcome is a plus
