e-Learning Course Developer, e-Learning Web Developer - Must have experience working on e-learning

Web and e-Learning Developer:

We are looking for a web / e-learning developer with at least 3 years' experience working with and developing for Learning Management Systems and e-learning content. Applicants should have a solid foundation of PHP, HTML5, CSS and Javascript, as well as comprehensive experience and understanding of e-learning standards such as SCORM, AICC and xAPI. Knowledge of other programming languages and technologies would be useful. This is a remote position and the selected developer will be expected to work from home.

Responsibilities:

  • Working as part of a wider team - content writers and designers - building e-learning courses and modules for deployment into Learning Management Systems
  • Developing, building and maintaining both existing and new LMS features and functionality

As well as the description above, we also require:

  • Ready and able to work as part of a developer team
  • High-proficiency with front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
  • Solid Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Github
  • Produce well-commented, well-documented, tidy and readable code
  • Fully aware of working, coding and security best-practices
  • Can work to a pre-defined coding style
  • Able to come up with well thought-out and innovative solutions to programming problems
  • Can communicate verbally in English
  • Knowledge and experience with PHP frameworks such as Codeigniter and Laravel would be useful
  • Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
  • Understanding accessibility and security compliance
