For a long-term project at our client‘s site, an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for a
Senior Python Developer
This is a challenging role in a demanding business (Risk Management and Portfolio Optimization).
Your Qualifications:
- 5+ years hands-on experience in developing in Python
- Knowledge of portfolio optimization techniques and theory, including principles of risk management in finance would be of advantage
- Understanding of financial time series and products, ability to understand and solve data quality issues in financial products
- Master studies in a technical discipline from a renowned university (math, computer science engineering, physics)
- Previous experience of a development role in finance or computationally intense computing, e.g. banking, trading, asset management, risk management, insurance, scientific computing/academia
- Experience in Linux environments
- Fluent in English
Your Responsibilities:
- Translating high-level business requirements into quantitative models
- Implementation of requirements, with a particular focus on scalability, stability, automated testing
- Interaction with an international team of developers, architects, quantitative investment professionals
