Python Developer - SQL - This is a long term contract opportunity for an experienced Python Engineer to join a global financial services organisation based in Basel.Your experience/skills:
- Extensive Python v3.5+ development experience including pandas, pytest, matplotlib and in MS SQL Server 2016+, MS TFS 2017 as well as Git
- Familiarity with test-driven development concepts and Agile (Kanban) development methodologies
- Ability to create automated unit- and integration tests as well as using them as part of daily development work
- Motivated to find the final solution with willingness to understand customer objectives
- Know-how of C# 6.0+ and dashboarding tools such as Tableau is a plus
- Languages: English both written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Storing data in a designed internal database using an interface with an external calculation application
- Producing aggregated reporting results by using calculation transformations in Python on the data
- Monitoring the received data, including time series analysis
- Handling incoming data from various sources such as databases, Excel files, PDFs, csv and Bloomberg
- Controlling the above processes using a web based user interface
