Job DescriptionScope:
Perform responsibilities as an Embedded Software Engineer, with a focus on computing infrastructure and low-level integration. Perform software design, implementation, and testing for embedded, real-time automotive applications for all phases of the software lifecycle. You will play a key role in developing, improving, and maintaining computing infrastructure in the areas of operating systems, bootstrap firmware, and micro-controller software. You will work as part of a highly integrated, very experienced engineering team, in a dynamic environment that would occasionally involve working on more than one project simultaneously.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
System Bootstrap Support
• Develop, test, and maintain software and firmware responsible for getting a system up and running and launching the primary system application.
Operating System Support
• Create and maintain software build infrastructure for the system applications and operating systems used in the systems.
• Create scripts, create of modify drivers, and maintain update packages for the operating systems used to allow the application developers to implement, execute, and test their software.
• Experience with building applications in Linux, Yocto, QNX, or other POSIX-compliant real-time embedded operating system is desired.
• Above duties to be applied to developing new and maintaining existing embedded, real-time software that controls and supports medical monitoring and other patient care-related applications.
