Optimus have partnered with one of the fastest growing Fintech's in Germany. Since their inception a few years ago they have grown from strength to strength cementing themselves as a key player their industry. This client works closely with wealth managers with the aim to digitalize their business models by providing the required platforms and a regulatory overview that they need to conduct business. With this comprehensive approach, they create the unique opportunity for their partners to go digital in one step and to utilize state of the art analytics to create individualized solutions to the benefit of their clients.Due to a number of strategic internal growth plans they currently require a DevOps Engineer within extensive experience in AWS cloud migration to undertake a 6 month project in Berlin. Optimus Search wants to speak with candidates who hold for the following tech stack - the platform consists of dozens of microservices which are mainly based on Java 8. They communicate through Kafka and a GraphQL. Data is stored in PostgreSQL and Couchbase. The services are running in Docker containers on three AWS data centers in a high availability mode, managed by Kubernetes. Therefore experience in building out Docker containers is imperative.
This project will be based onsite in Berlin, with the option for some remote work. Hourly rate will be up to 85EU, project will commence in February.
Responsibilities
- Extending our monitoring and alerting with a focus on business processes
- Assisting the integration for 3rd parties
- Finetuning the CI/CD process
- Enhancing their internal platform by using technologies like AWS, Kubernetes, Ansible, Docker, Prometheus, Couchbase and Kafka
Candidate Profile
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef or Puppet
- Experience with Linux and scripting languages like BASH, Python
- Good knowledge of working with Docker, Kubernetes and AWS
- Fluent in English
- Passion for DevOps
