DevOps Engineer

Start: Asap
End: 31/12/20, may be extended
Location: Vienna, international company
Hourly rate: 60€ all in

Your tasks ?
- Contribute to the development of an efficient continuous delivery platform, covering build, deployment and test automation as well as provisioning of infrastructure components in cloud environments ?
- Maintain the platform by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health ?
- Develop, test and operate of software components ?
- Design concepts, evaluate tools and technologies to improve every aspect of the software development lifecycle
- Drive adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability ?
- Working as part of an agile delivery team (Scrum / Kanban)

Qualifications ?
- Universal degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, a comparable technical education or equivalent practical experience ?
- State-of-the art source code management, i.e. Git ?
- Knowledge of Containerization technology ?
- Basic understanding of RestAPI ?
- Strong scripting skills (ideally Python, Bash) ?
- Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed ?
- Ability to speak and write in English fluently and idiomatically - German is a Plus

Nice to have
- Experience developing/designing large software systems ?
- Experience with cloud concepts and -providers, virtualization and containers (preferably in AWS) ?
- Experience in Queuing systems (e.g. RabbitMQ, Kafka) ?
- Experience in building and operating CI/CD pipeline ?
- Experience with configuration management (e.g. Ansible) ?
- Developed communication and collaboration skills exhibited in complex operational settings
