Embedded Software Engineer - Auto -Stuttgart (Remote Available)

My client is an industry leading automotive firm on the hunt for a freelance Embedded Software Engineer. In this position, you will be part of the team paving the way towards a 'powertrain revolution' with the goal of fundamentally adjusting the way engine power is transferred to other vehicular components.

Responsibilities:

* Create and document software design and test plans.
* Implement and test new functionality in software.
* Perform design and implementation reviews.
* Support investigations and resolution of customer bug reports.
* Coordination with our international design, development, integration, and project management team.

Requirements:

* 5 or more years of professional experience in the automotive industry using C and C++ programming and embedded software environment
* SW or HW related work experiences with engine control Modules.
* Strong C programming skills

*Knowledge of industrial field buses or CAN bus or Ethernet; cloudsolutions
* Knowledge of Autosar and/or Adaptive Autosar based system architectures.
* Familiarity with assembly language programming
* Capable of working with a variety of scripting languages
* Familiarity with electrical schematics
* Background in vehicle powertrain calibration, electronics, or software.
