Role (m/w/d)

The Hardware Architect defines the overall electrical design of embedded ECUs such as Infotainment Units and Automotive Domain Controllers
They are responsible for developing system specifications and layouts
Hardware Architects also test their systems and adjust as needed.
In addition, they provide support throughout the life cycle of the electrical systems they have designed

Responsibilities

Analyzing of customer requirements
Creation, recommendation, and presentation of electrical architectures in a close cooperation with the Automotive OEMs, suppliers and the internal Hardware and Software Teams
lnterfacing with system architects, software architects, domain experts and client stakeholders.
Generating the highest level of hardware requirements, based on the user's needs and other constraints such as cost and schedule.
Ensuring that this set of high-level requirements is consistent, complete, correct, and operationally defined.
Performing cost-benefit analyses to determine the best methods or approaches for meeting the hardware requirements; making maximum use of commercial off-the-shelf or already developed components.
Ensuring that maximally robust hardware architecture is developed.
Generating a set of acceptance test requirements, together with the designers, test engineers, and the user, which determine that all the high-level hardware requirements have been met

Profile

Degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive industry in the area of infotainment, cluster or cockpit electronic
Several years of experience with electrical architectures and designs in embedded automotive systems
Experience with PCS design software like Altium Designer or Autodesk Eagle,
Good knowledge of PCB schematics and layout
Knowledge of EMC certification requirements, design, and tests for EMC.
Experience in requirement engineering
Experience with Design tools, such as
Good language skills in English, written and spoken
Excellent communication and good presentation skills
