For our customer in Frankfurt we are currently looking for a data intelligence engineer (f / m / d) on a freelance basis.

Period: May 3rd, 2021 - December 31st, 2021 (possibility of extension)
Consultant days : 70 BT
Location: Frankfurt & Remote
Location: Frankfurt am Main on site (occasional attendance) and remote
availability: 100% full-time - 5 days / week

Project description:
Background and initial situation: The services of the contractor (service provider) are provided for the CBM project in the TecEX program. In the CBM project, the functionally described use cases are implemented with the help of analytics. The project has the following content:
• Creation of added customer value through digital offers as a basis for increases in turnover
• (Partial) automation of processes along the entire value chain
• Build-up of knowledge and intelligent use of existing and new data
• Analysis of large amounts of data in order to create patterns using artificial intelligence, simulation and mathematical optimization Recognize
• Optimization of the maintenance strategy with the help of IoT Dat Service

description:

• Support with the documentation to achieve the proof of a secure data path according to DIN 50657
• Use of synergies by merging use cases which are currently installed on two different technology platforms (Splunk & Tableau)
• Data binding for near-realtime use of IoT data in the Asset Intelligence Center. Support with data analysis, data evaluation and identification of focus locomotives based on engineering priorities.
• Development of algorithms for monitoring the vehicle condition based on the priorities from engineering as one of the main users.
• Development of algorithms in order to then publish them in the CBM software product so that they are available to the users.

Mandatory requirements:

• Excellent knowledge of technology and IT
• In-depth experience in distributed data processing (Apache Spark with Scala, Java)
• Experience in building data streams Pipelines (e.g. Apache Nifi, Kafka, Spark Streaming)
• Well-founded knowledge in the field of data analysis, statistical model development and optimization, as well as machine learning (technologies: Python, R, MatLab, Apache-Spark, SQL)

Target requirements
Experience with project management tools, especially Confluence and Jira
• Well-founded knowledge in the area of ??IoT - preferably within the railway industry
• Experience in working in an agile environment (Scrum)
• Experience with data science / machine learning in distributed environments (e.g. MLlib, PySpark,)
• Experience with data visualization techniques and storytelling (plotting in R / Python Notebooks, Tableau, Qlik)
• Data-driven process modeling and optimization
