Senior Java Developer - Fixed Income/ION/Front Office sought by leading investment bank based in the city of London.
*Inside IR35*
The role:
- A development role in the Fixed Income development team contributing to the delivery of a Strategic project including the integration and customization of a number of key third party trading systems such as ION and Bloomberg as well as numerous in-house systems and services that provide enhanced functionality and integration with other systems in the bank.
- These are predominantly in the form of Java services but also include web and desktop applications.
- The role requires interaction with Fixed Income business area to understand project requirements and implement associated solutions.
Skills and Experiences:
- Substantial experience as a Solution Developer with good technical functional expertise of following applications and/or functions:
- Professional core Java development
- RESTful services
- Strong experience using databases and writing SQL to investigate and resolve issues
- Good knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals
- Self-starter and keen to drive initiatives to completion
- Keen intelligence and problem-solving ability
- Good communication/teamwork skills
