Java Developer
Fuse Digital Consulting (A Division of the CPS Group) is building a Delivery Team to support one of our Key Partners. Backbase Java Developers are needed for the core of the team. We are seeking a highly experienced Java Developer who has proven experience in developing Back End solutions within the Backbase framework.
Location: London
Rate: £475- £520 per day
Duration: 5 Months Initial (Extensions)
Clearance: FS Checks
IR35 Status: INSIDE
Overview
You will work closely with a Solution Architect, Scrum Master, and other members of the development team. You will be responsible for providing maintenance to, and enhancing, the Back End/Integration layer of our existing Quote and Buy portal and the API platform. You will be expected to organise your own work within the confines of a scrum team and to be proactive and challenge convention as appropriate to make the best decisions possible across all aspects of delivery.
You will report into the Engineering and Delivery Lead, but daily the IT Delivery Manager and Scrum Master will be co-ordinating your work. Responsibilities
*Working with SMEs and BAs to develop changes to the APIs and Portal integration.
*Developing and unit testing solutions using best practices.
*Actively seeking to adopt best practices from our other development/DevOps teams
*Play an active part in maintaining good development practice and processes across the team.
*Contributing to test approach and test design.
*Supporting testing and production readiness activities.
Skills
*Good strong proven Java development background.
*Proven experience in developing Back End solutions within the Backbase framework
*Experience with the creation and management of APIs.
*Proven collaborative working experience.
*Experience within agile development teams.
*Experience with application Servers (Tomcat/JBoss/Jetty)

*Cosmos DB experience
*JSON experience
*Experience with cloud architectures/Azure.
*Azure Logic Apps/Function Apps/API Apps.
*API Management tools.
*Insurance experience.
