Key responsibilities (please specify if the position is an individual one or part of a team):
On our MI Windows Server (on which we have a number of SQL Server Integration Services - SSIS - packages), the Oracle Client Driver has been upgraded to Oracle 19 driver.
In order to ensure that the SSIS packages continue to run as currently, we need to make the following changes;
- Where the (runtime) config files were using the MS driver for Oracle, amend this to be the Oracle driver.
- Open packages and complete validation, since the above step has resulted in some packages returning validation errors.
- Possibly upgrade SSIS packages from CBS current version of MS Visual Studio (2015) to 2019.
Associate will join a project delivery team and focus on adding hands-on technical expertise, ensuring outcomes meet the highest technical and agile standards.
We expect our consultants to understand the client's project aims and to offer professional and commercial insight to ensure client satisfaction as well as representing the commercial interests.
We always expect our consultants to be very self-sufficient when engaged in smaller assignments representing the company by themselves, always ensuring customer satisfaction through high quality work and outstanding client care.
Strong experience in a multi-disciplined team is critical as is Associate ability to clearly communicate complex technology solutions.
Associate will be responsible for defining tasks, scope and effort from user stories during user research sessions.
Associate will be responsible for the production of high level and low level design documents and other technical project related artefacts as in when requirement and as per client request.
Associate will be involved in the qualification and bid process for new opportunities providing relevant technical input into the process.
Key Skills/Knowledge:
. SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) development skills, preferably from MS Visual Studio 2015 through to 2019.
. Experience of testing SSIS packages.
. On-shore resource, that would require laptop to work (*due to limitations in AWS Workspace)
. Experience in using recursive CTEs, CTE, temp
. Skilled in error and event handling: precedence Constraints, Break Points, Check points and Logging.
. Supported team in resolving SQL Reporting services and T-SQL related issues and Proficiency in creating different types of reports such as Cross-Tab, Conditional, Drill-down, Top N, Summary, Form, OLAP and Sub reports, and formatting them.
. Experience in using SSIS tools like Import and Export Wizard, Package Installation, and SSIS Package Designer.
. Experience in importing/exporting data between different sources like Oracle/Access/Excel etc. using SSIS/DTS utility.
. Experience in ETL processes involving migrations and in sync processes between two databases.
. Experience in Microsoft Visula C# in script component of SSIS.
. Transformed data from one server to other Servers using tools like Bulk Copy Program (BCP), and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) ).
. Experience in creating configuration files to deploy the SSIS packages across all environments.
. Expert in generating writing parameterized queries, drill through reports and formatted SQL server Reports in SSRS R2 using data from ETL Loads, SSAS Cubes and various heterogeneous data sources.
Experience required:4 to 6 years of experience in SSIS
