Mulesoft API Developer - Mulesoft, Mulesoft Anypoint, DataWeave, MUnit, Java, Rest APIs, JSON, API Developer, SOAP, WSDL, XSLT, XML - UK - Remote - £pd
Our client, a leading IT consultancy, require 2x Mulesoft API Developers to join them for initial 6-month engagements. The roles will contribute to the delivery of MuleSoft API-based integration solutions for a range of projects, as part of a large transformation programme. This role is inside of IR35.
Key Skills & Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years MuleSoft Anypoint platform Development experience
- Educated to degree level, or an equivalent level of experience, ideally in a computing or business related discipline
- Extensive software development experience, ideally with a strong focus on systems integration
- Proven track record of delivering solutions using the following technologies:
- MuleSoft Anypoint platform, Design Centre, DataWeave, MUnit
- Java and/or other object-oriented programming languages
- REST APIs, JSON
- API Modelling using RAML (or Swagger/OAS, WADL, etc)
- SOAP web services, WSDL, XML, XSLT
- Testing tools such as JUnit, SoapUI, Postman, ReadyAPI
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate requirements and lead the preparation of solution options based on a number of contributing factors such as cost, technical complexity, scalability and reusability
- Advise senior business stakeholders on the recommended option based on a thorough risk benefit analysis
- Provide realistic estimates on the delivery effort in terms of time, resources and budgets required to deliver and implement solutions to the Programme or Project Manager
- Lead the creation of detailed designs, API specifications and technical plan, enabling developers to build the components and interfaces for the solution
- Ensuring that delivered components adhere to the design specification, organisational standards and best practices
- Collaborating with other solution designers and architects, testers, project managers and across organizational boundaries with customers, suppliers and other 3rd parties
