The role:
Work with our business development teams to feed your expertise and experience into winning proposals which you then see through to successful delivery.
You will be a key member of a new team tasked with responding to quick turnaround proposals, transitioning into a delivery team on successful bid outcome.
You will be responsible for design and software engineering delivery across one or more Critical National Infrastructure programmes.
You will partner with Agile Delivery Leads, Technical Leads, Product Owners and BAs, Developers and Testers to implement tools and platforms that continuously deliver quality to the Leidos customers.
Required skills and experience:
An experienced software Java focussed engineer, used to developing systems in complex vendor and customer landscapes from discovery to live service.
Experience in Agile and Scrum environments.
In-depth understanding of concepts of microservice architecture, API and event driven architectures. Additionally possess previous experience of working with JMS technologies such as RabbitMQ/IBM MQ.
Hands-on experience designing and delivering solutions that leverage AWS native and vendor services.
Excellent demonstrable delivery experience in Java-based applications using Spring Boot.
Hands-on design of solutions that use complex service orchestration and leverage container management and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Possess a strong security and data privacy-oriented mindset, aware of secure coding techniques and best practice.
Broad implementation experience with DevOps technologies such as GitLab, Artifactory, Jenkins, Grafana, Kibana
Additional beneficial skills and experience:
Experience in development of Digital Products in a government organisation - familiarity with Government Digital Services (GDS).
Good customer facing skills - you may need to present as part of bid and delivery
